Wine
Lethbridge Pinot Gris is made in the style of wines from Alsace in France. Its fruit is handpicked from low yielding, cool climate vineyards.
After resting on skins for 6-8 hours, the fruit is whole bunch pressed with careful oxidative juice handling. The unclarified juice is then transferred to a mix of stainless steel tanks and French foudre (large oak vats).
Fermentation is with indigenous yeasts on full solids. The wine settles and matures on gross lees in foudre prior to blending and bottling.
Pale straw, Lethbridge Pinot Gris is a complex wine with nutty, toasty characters and a silky texture complementing delicate fruit notes. Cellaring potential is two years.
